Your position: 

  • Monitoring and process control 
  • Pre-analysis of technical irregularities with alignment of business requirements 
  • Create and execute individual solutions for specific, unique tasks 
  • Develop ideas for process and software improvements 
  • Generate dedicated reports from large databases 
  • Work in an interdisciplinary, agile team 


Preferred qualifications: 

  • Hands-on experience with monitoring (e.g. Prometheus/Grafana, Nagios, CloudWatch) 
  • Solid knowledge of CI/CD processes (e.g. using GitLab CI) 
  • Basic knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker) 
  • Rudimentary knowledge of a scripting language (ideally Python, Shell) 
  • Passionate Linux user 
  • Strong SQL skills 
  • Live by the principle of Infrastructure as Code 
  • Ideally some experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, CloudFormation) 
  • Ability to self-organize 
  • Strong communication skills in English; German skills welcome

  • Strategic as well as technical further development of the product in cooperation with the IT and account management team
  • Sustainable product development and related analysis of the respective process phases
  • Creation of a product roadmap
  • Responsibility for the product backlog with the requirements contained therein and corresponding coordination of the projects
  • Development of user stories

 

Your profile:

  • Several years of professional experience in the analysis, elaboration and implementation of requirements in the digital environment as well as the coordination and definition of IT processes
  • Solid knowledge of project management and strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage, move and inspire partners and stakeholders
  • High level of organization, personal responsibility and hands-on mentality
  • Skilled in the use of analytical tools

Account Management / Marketing

for the area of marketing and publishing customer care

 

Who we are:
Open Publishing, we have been distributing and marketing digital publishing products as an e-book distribution partner since 1998, offering our customers security and stability in the changing world of digital publishing. We support all publishing processes, from planning and creation to the publication of e-books, audiobooks and print on demand. We also offer a wide range of options for the advantageous placement of products in the trade. Whether production, distribution, marketing or royalty management – we are the right contact. Customers can use our software solution for the digital distribution of individual titles or for the publication of their entire digital inventory.

 

Your area of responsibility:

  • Comprehensive support of publishing clients in the field of digital publishing.
  • Supporting publishers in the e-book and print production, delivery, invoicing and marketing of e-books, audio and print books
  • Communicating with booksellers and online platforms and organising and implementing product placements and marketing campaigns for publishing clients accordingly
  • Design and creation of B2B communication, e.g. newsletter, Facebook and web presence as well as trade fair appearances
  • Contribute to the further product development of the Open Publishing distribution software

  • Support in the area of retailer and social media marketing for publishers.
  • Checking availability of digital content in the online shops

  • Recording, coordinating and processing digital sales reports
  • Quality control and maintenance of sales reports
  • Collaboration in the establishment of new workflows, standards and testing routines
